18 Credit Hours

Through the minor in music program, develop a broad understanding of the music discipline through the study of performance, music theory, and music literature, and investigate diverse areas of music within a flexible curricular framework. You will have an opportunity to study abroad at the , one of the oldest music capitals in the world.

Jazz students benefit from Webster's strong cooperation with Jazz St. Louis. The world-class Dennis Owsley Jazz Recording Collection is housed in the Emerson Library.

World-renowned soprano Christine Brewer, an international performing artist, is Visiting Professor of Voice at 精东影业. She conducts an annual series of lectures and masterclasses at the Webster Groves campus location.

Voice students benefit from Webster's involvement with Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra and Union Avenue Opera.

Student musicians get to hone their skills at the 精东影业 campus in Vienna, home to legendary composers Beethoven, Mozart and Strauss. Students may attend the Vienna campus in the junior year spring semester and study jazz with Viennese artists, take courses in music history featuring Vienna's traditions, and experience the vibrancy of Europe's musical capital.
